Yes, another Homeworld piece. And not the big one I'm working on, either, but a relative quickie. Painted over the original concept art/cutscene (a composite of two shots), this is the Taiidani Emperor in full color. Well, more his throne, really.Related content

Colors look great, although, not as sinister as I thought the emperor's throne would be.

Would you really want to see the emperor himself? Seeing as he was nearly four-hundred years old, he couldn't have been pretty.

I'm liking it so far. One thing you might consider doing is a higher-detail version of this one that fills in some of the "blanks" that a quick cutscene couldn't show us. Like whether or not he's plugged in, like some of the smaller details of the throne, like whether or not this is part of a much bigger "bridge" chamber onboard his Mothership with hundreds of crewmen scurrying about below the throne....things like that?
I do recognize that the background is basically a gigantic tactical display hologram--would I be right in that assumption? With that in mind, maybe you could have it "illuminate" the throne and the Emperor a bit more? It'd make the background others complained about a little more believable for its environment.
Overall I LOVE what you did with the throne's detailing--that turned out very nicely.

I might still do an image of him; I'm just not certain about what I imagine him to look like.
The lines should probably be curved, but I just traced them along where they were in the cinematic. Lazy me.
