That is really cool! I always thought it would have been neat to see what some of the basically-human aliens in TOS would have looked like if they had a bigger budget--the Iotians, Capellans, and so forth--but I never thought about actually redesigning the already-somewhat-different-looking ones like the Andorians before. Anyways, very neat design!

I have a redesign concept that I haven't posted yet that is more insectoid (It was inspired by the fact that Andorians have Antennae but don't show any other signs of being insectoid)

@Director1265: Budget limitations. Even with "unimaginitve" makeup, Star Trek: Enterprise's cost of production monumentally outstripped what they could make back. Doing aliens like this, while cooler, would be too expensive for TV. And most of the previous movies were made on the cheap as well, so more alien aliens were out of the question then as well.

Anyways... question... are those rank tabs on his shoulders?

I really wish somebody with an actual imagination made "Star Trek." That way, their so-called "aliens" wouldn't look so plain, and people wouldn't have to resort to redesigning to see anything interesting.

Anyways, your Andorian looks pretty spiffy. Given that the age of CGI is upon us, he could've been easily stuck into a Special Edition TOS episode somewhere.

The fur really does make sense,but the face looks a bit too Rodian/ant-eater.
But other than that,i really like this concept for a very alien Andorian.

Cool. I've allways liked the desing of the Andorians but it certainly would make sense them to have fur since they live on an ice planet.
