It's one of those immature moments I had when watching the Christmas special of My Life as a Teenage Robot. I've actually laughed out loud when I heard the first part of the "Christmas with Santa" song.
For the youngsters who don't know, the term "gay" is a synonym for "happy," and it was used to express one's happiness way back before most of us were born. Nowadays, using the term outside would have people assume you've "come out of the closet" (not that there's anything wrong with that), and homosexuality was quite a major topic this year.
I guess it just shows how old-school this cartoon is, since I remember watching a classic Goofy cartoon when he actually used the word "gay" when he was singing.
I've just finished watching the entire series on Amazon Prime Instant Video, and if it weren't for Tuck, I would have never given this show a chance. I love this character and I've been wanting to draw him for a while.
