Is this at all influenced by the new design of the Doctor Who opening titles? It looks very similar (which is a good thing, if you ask me!)

Funny that you mention that, it is not actually but after I designed this and saw the opening scene I was like, hey, wait a second!? I was commissioned to do this for a high school marching band prop and it slowly morphed into what you see here.
