Description
This catcher is suposed to represent balance. The sun half(the red and yellow ribbon side) uses the same length of sinew as the moon side(the whit and black ribbon). The catcher hangs nicely due to the balance between the off set hoops and feathers.

The sun also only has seven rays symbolizing the seven grandfathers: Nbwaakaawin, Zaagidwin, Mnaadendimowin, Aakwade’ewin, Gwekwaadiziwin, Dbaadendiziwin, Debwewin. Wisdom, Love, Respect, Bravery, Honesty, Humility, Truth. (there are actually seven it's just the angle hides the really small one on the top)

The Grand Mother moon watches over you as you sleep and grow while the the Father sun teaches you to be a better person and the feathers bring you closer to the spirits for guidance.
