Fully transformed in his robot mode. At the time I was building this guy, Big Hero 6 was a big influence, as I liked Baymax's non-threatening rounded look, and I tried to incorporate that into Samson's overall appearance. The idea of this completely unarmed gentle giant helping his human compatriots move cargo around appealed to me. The little race car on the left is an official LEGO set; I was using it as cargo, as it fits rather neatly in his cargo bay, which doubles as a sort of backpack in bot mode. In this pic, the cargo bay is collapsed flat against his back.
