"Hush, little child, Don't you cry, I'm gonna sing you a lullaby" is from Animaniacs, but I changed it a bit, since the original thing goes "Hush, little king, don't you cry, we're gonna sing you a lullaby". And they do sing something about a monster, but I don't remember how that goes... xD
