Description
Our new book, Legend Unleashed (Keeping Secrets, Book 1), is a young adult novel. This is a book trailer for it, it is a stop motion animation with black silhouettes in the style of Lotte Reigner.Description of the book:
When an infamous criminal is unleashed from his prison, it has consequences for everyone in Carwick. Temperance Levinthal in particularβ¦
Temperance is satisfied with her ordinary life. Dealing with her eccentric, childlike parents is all the excitement she needs. That changes when Alastair Byron returns home.
After a failed matchmaking attempt by her father, sparks fly between her and Alastair-just not the good kind.
They are forced together though, when they are implicated in a grisly murder. Their search for the truth leads them to a secret world beneath Carwick, filled with werewolves, wizards and other magical faey.
However, uncovering the truth is far more dangerous than theyβd ever imagined.
There are secrets within secrets.
Even Alastair may be more than he seems.
Hope you like it!

This was very very cool! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

My only suggestions - the shape of the female is a little off around the neck area, on the bench when she turns, and over the dead body, particularly contrasted with the static woman with man running towards the 'camera' shot.
Also, everything is predominantly black & white, but at the very beginning you have layered chains in various shades behind the clock. I like the effect, but it feels very different from the remainder - perhaps adding a similar layer behind a later shot would tie it together more?
The later is less of an issue than the lady's anatomy, and on the whole the piece evokes mystery and suspense, with fantastic style. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Thanks so much for your critique, it was really fantastic that you took the time to do it! You're too good!
Really glad you liked most of it, I'd agree with your suggestions and believe me, looking at it now I see even more things I'd like to change! The layer with the chains, it's funny you should say that we should have added a similar layer to a later shot, (you've a good eye!) we actually did have other similar type effects, one with trees, but we ended up cutting it out!
All in all though, it's our first animation attempt, so not perfect, but still really glad you thought it was cool! You've delighted us to no end!
