Drawing dedicated to the film Kill Bill vol1, one of the coolest films I've seen! One of my fav scenes in the film was the anime scene, I somehow wanted to use this in my drawing. I started with a drawing of Uma in the centre. I then filled up the background around her with some of my fav moments from the anime scene. At first I wanted to do it all in color but I thought Uma wouldn't stand out as much so I did the anime background in black and white. I did it the hard way, had my dvd on pause to draw and shade the entire anime background! Caused alittle bit of pain in my eyes afterwards but it was worth it.Pencil, color pencil and pen.
A3 size paper.
Completed in around 3 weeks.

I must admit the origin of O-Ren Ishii sequence is amazing and is my favourite bit about Kill Bill Volume 1 ^w^

Well hopefully the movie comes out soon and they put all three into a box set. Quentin Tarantino is my favorite director, so hopefully he is working on SOMETHING. My friend has been yelling at me for not watching his Reservoir Dogs yet, the only one of his movies I haven't seen haha.

Thanks. I don't think Uma turned out as well as I wanted her to look. I think the animated characters turned out better.

I actually enjoyed the contrast in mediums between Uma and the animated characters in the background, the only thing that I find weird when I look at her is the fact that she was almost always sweating in the movie lolz. I will never see Uma Thurman attractive after having seen that movie haha.

Lol yeah she really only stopped fighting once she found out her daughter was alive, and even then she still killed Bill. Tarantino is actually working on a third movie, though I am not sure of the plot.

I heard about a third movie but nothing has surfaced yet. Even the dvd boxset planned with both movies combined as 1 movie is nowhere to be seen!

I've always appreciated the talent and effort it takes to make worthwhile anime shows(Especially from the people that made Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo)
There are quite a few anime shows that have the giant, shiny, inhuman, eyes for everyone and have the characters move at 3 FPS and I hate those shows because of the laziness of the animators.
