Are these completely hand-drawn? Because oh my goodness... The cliffs on the side have so much detail and the water and the spaceship gahhhh it's so good!!

Not completely, no! It's using photos as assets to create the landscape. So basically I'm using photos to get a good base texture to use. The water ripples are a photo along with the first initial cliffs but then I paint on top of them to blend it all nicely into a more "painty" piece! Here are some examples where no photos were used: Heaven's Valley , Beckoning , Tree of Life , Hot Spring Castle

Haha, I do my best dude! This is a photobashing/matte painting kind of deal which means I use photos along with regular painting to get these results!

What the pilot doesn't realise is those hoops are the magnetic containment rings for a planetary railgun - and he's flying down the barrel... 2 seconds later someone flipped the power on for a millisecond and he ended up on that moon behind him, travelling at > 0.01c. *ouch*
