This is a very contrast heavy piece, huh? I mean for one you got this radical juxtaposing colors going on what with the green scenery and the pink leaves. Then there's the tree, which has a lot more detail than the rest of the piece, so through that detail contrast the eyes stay on the tree more than anything else. That's pretty damn cool how you juggle two types of contrast. Nice going! Remember how you told me once that you have water leading to your focal point. Works here well on account of how you used a little detail to pull the eyes towards the water, but not so much detail that it drowns out the contrast. I will say the moss at the top of the waterfall is a little weird to look at though, because it's not the same color as the rest of the background and foreground. Doesn't blend as well, you know? But that's just a nitpick, not really criticizing the decision. Like the light source a lot. Normally that kind of light source would elicit an ominous tone, but here it actually really adds to the serenity of the scene. Not bad. Damn good piece here. Bang up job. Very well done.

I do love me some contrast! It's funny because at first there was no sakura-inspired tree in there but the green was getting overwhelming so I basically just chose a color that would contrast against the greenery.
About the moss - The idea was that it would create a triangle between the tree-leaves, the flowers on the lower right and the top of the waterfall but I guess I could've done something else to create that triangle xD

Oh! Oh my gosh that would've been crazy awesome if you made the flowers and moss a tad brighter! They have a really moot color compared to the tree, you know because pink as a whole is just loud. Dude if you just like bumped up the saturation or something on those flowers and moss that would a bonkers ass effect now that I'm looking at it that way! Oh my gosh, you're a genius! I would've never thought about that or even caught it! Holy shit that's cool!
