Spoko.

This is the most beatifull kick ass desktop ever!!!
Very nice job!!!
For a new user like me, in Linux, I'm using Ubuntu, is it hard to make it in my machine?
Can you explain it to me, because I don't understand, nor know how to manage this. I don't know how to use the WM, GTK, ConkY, Covergloobus...etc.
Is it to much to ask?
Is there a theme with all this pre-installed?
Thanks
Paulo

I'm sorry, but it's a loooot of work... I use Openbox and it needs many hours to work good and next hours to look good IMO for a new user of Linux it could be quite hard work. You should start working on Gnome

I use openbox and personally I don't think it's too much work, if you know what look your trying to archeive it's really easy to setup and configure, may be hard on some things but besides that it's easy. Yeah if your just editing the file it might be hard, but try using the configuration tool. It will probably save you a lot of time.

Idesk and wbar need a lot of time to look like this. I've made tint2 config, conky and Covergloobus theme by myself and... trust me, it's a lot of work. I've needed also to delay wbar start etc...

Yeah, but that stuff has nothing to do with openbox, also your desktop does look nice, and I appreciate that you actually put effort into customizing your desktop. I see some people on windows who have it looking exactly like they bought it, the only thing changed is the wallpaper.

I envy them, that they are not addicted to customizing desktop as I am

Yeah I happen to change my desktop a lot, there only few setups I'll keep for a while until completely screwing up my desktop and changing it.

Very nice. Sometimes I wonder if I should just ditch all the advanced window management and effects from KDE 4 and go for somethign ultra-minimal. After all, e17 has most of the features people expect from a modern desktop AND it's insanely low-resource.
Anyway, very beautiful OpenBox. Reminds me of the good old days, and how with Linux no code is lost. :3 Good stuff.
