Overrated. It's really boring and the background characters are just disgusting. I like the fight scenes tho and the characters are pretty good especially the main villain. But the show is mostly just boring with very little dialogue. I think that was the reason why it ended so fast.

What? It is not boring, it is atmospheric. The backgrounds look amazing. Modt shows stick with the same background in every episode, but in this show they have to create a whole new environment for every episode. Also, those long pauses before the fights are commonplace in martial arts movies.
It got cancelled because Genndy Tartakovsky wanted to move onto other projects. Most people love this show. Why else would they be making a movie for it?

I didn't say the backgrounds were bad, I said the background characters were really creepy and poorly drawn. Yes those long pauses are good, but only good for you once. You just want to skip that when you re-watch the episode and sadly the show is full with long pauses and like I saidm very little dialogue..
Maybe in America, but in my country the show was very poor. It only aired at nights and it got cancelled pretty fast. All of friends and everyone that I knew hated the show.Β

i always had an idea for the ending: it's jack fighting Aku at his lair and goes all out, fighting armies of his robots, demons and bounty hunters he fought before. but here's the twist: every ally Jake has made would help him out and saying they're good byes at the end of the battle. and then it ends, of course, with Jake beating Aku just like he was at the very beginning and lives as the new emperor and telling his tale of the future. that's how i see it.
