I love the movie, but I feel like they didn't go quite out on the animation like the show did. In the beginning, when Shaggy and Freddy is chased by aligators, they try to swim away. Okay, it's a way to introduce a suspect, but in the show, they would have gone completely goofy and ran away in a blur

I loved this movie! reviewed this movie a while back, and the one thing he criticized about it was Cam Clarke's portrayal of Detective Beau Neville because he thought that the character didn't really do anything useful in the movie.

I think he was there to add to the suspects that could have been behind the mystery like Scooby Doo usually does.

I know, but the point that I'm trying to make is that expressed disappointment about how Beau wasn't really all that useful to the gang and that even though he was actually an undercover detective, he didn't really do anything more than just act like a total grump.
