As you know I love animated movies. A lot of my favorite movies of all time are animated movies because of how unique, creative, and fun they can be. A lot of them are one off complete stories that wrap up with a happily ever after. Other times they set themselves up for more story to tell which is where the sequel comes into play. Sure, it is difficult to make a really good animated movie, but it seems to be a lot harder to make a good sequel that is able to live up to the legacy that the original set. Often sequels end up being soulless cash grabs that are just thrown together to make a quick buck. There honestly aren't a ton of amazing animated sequels, but the ones that do work tend to be ever better than the originals. They expand upon the ideas of the originals and add more to the stories to make the universes feel even more fleshed out and further develop the characters to make them ever more interesting. With all of that being said here are my top ten favorite animated sequels. Some rules are that this is a list for only sequels. No third parts allowed so no Toy Story 3 or Kung Fu Panda 3. Also they can't be based on a pre-existing cartoons so no Sponge Out Of Water, Rugrats In Paris, or Pokemon 2000. Honorable mentions include Fantasia 2000, Rescuers Down Under, An Extremely Goofy Movie, Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch, and Despicable Me 2. Now on to the list
