Sometimes the best offense is also the best defense. This especially applies to those who use a shield for both of these things. A shields main purpose is to protect the user so they can get in close and attack with the weapon that is in their other hand. While some of the characters on this list do that a lot of them actually use the shield as the weapon. You could use it for its intended reason or you could use it to knock people around with. You could apparently even use it as a boomerang in some cases. Here are my top ten favorite shield users.
