2023 was a fascinating year for animation. With all of the shows being removed from streaming services for tax write offs, cancellations, and the various entertainment related strikes this was one of the hardest years for animators in a very long time. With that being said, the animation itself was still mostly fantastic despite the studios trying to make things worse for animators at every turn. It just goes to show that animators are dedicated to making cool stuff. Also, the continued rise of indie animation is still really cool to see. With that being said, here are my top ten favorite things in animation from 2023. Honorable mentions include Elemental, Buddy Daddies, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Chicken Run Dawn Of The Nugget, Kiff, The Venture Bros Radiant Is The Blood Of The Baboon Heart, Once Upon A Studio, Unicorn Warriors Eternal, and Justice League X RWBY Part 2. Now onto the list.
