I can't believe that I haven't gotten to zombies for one of these Halloween monster lists yet. Well, better late than never I suppose. These shambling corpses are debatably some of the most popular monsters of all time and are definitely up there with vampires, werewolves, witches, ghosts, and skeletons. For the most part in media zombies are portrayed as mindless creatures traveling in groups trying to find their next meal. Some key traits that appear in a lot of these works are the fact that they are rotting, slow, and have an insatiable hunger for the flesh and brains of living beings. These types of zombies aren't really characters though. My list won't feature any zombie archtypes or variants and instead focus on zombies who are actual individual characters. Some of them may stretch the definition of what I zombie is but I don't really care. Here are my top ten favorite fictional zombies. Honorable mentions include Hsien-Ko (Darkstalkers), Cyril (Wreck-It Ralph), Saki Nikaido (Zombie Land Saga), and The Witch (Left 4 Dead). Now on to the list.
