This show surprised me. When I first heard the title I wasn't interested to watch it at all and this was even more so when I figured out that it was made by Teletoon, but I ended up giving it a chance and it actually kind of impressed me. That meaning it impressed me in comparison of the usual quality of Teletoon shows within the last decade. For a channel that is known as the place where cheap and dumb flash cartoons are made this is actually not bad at all when you put it side by side with something like Johnny Test or Rocket Monkeys. This show actually has its own identity and stands out for its art style and general creativity that the other shows tend to lack. As a whole the show has a very laid back atmosphere even though something crazy happens in every single episode. The creativity can come from the wish that someone asks the main character to grant or the mythical creatures that they focus on. One episode can feature a giant squid while another can have a minotaur. It is a world in which anything can happen and they take advantage of that. The characters while being somewhat simplistic are actually decently charming and likable. Dez is a awkward yet nice teenage leprechaun. Puffin is a decent example of the jerk with a heart of gold trope by remaining likable enough while still being entertaining. My favorite of the main characters is Akiko the Japanese ghost girl because she is the most interesting of the group with her snarky and carefree attitude. I also quite like Tsuni the chill mermaid girl for being a nice and supportive friend to the main character while also kind of being a voice of reason to the group sometimes. I also like Neptune but that is probably just because he is voiced by Christian Potenza. Overall this is a fun and charming cartoon that is much better than its title would allow you to believe. I would say it is worth giving a chance.
