Not being racist, But Applejack could not work black. It's the wrong kinda country girl. I don't think i would see flutter shy as black either. Maybe Asian or Caucasian. Twilight spark it really works for her. Rainbow dash is wild card

What do you mean by wrong kind of country girl? You know your race does not dictate what type of person you are right?

Sorta Kinda, you cannot say it doesn't have an affect on that. I feel the personality seems more white western community, in particular her expressions she uses, the way she talks. I feel if she was black she would more likely used different expressions. Of course then we could get implications of adoption, but whatever. It's not really that big of deal.

Well I'm sorry but I will disagree. I believe it's absurd to follow such a line of thinking. While there is tendency to believe ethnic stereotypes, one must keep an open mind to the fact it does not apply to every member of a race.

Example: I was told "Rarity can't be black" because she "acts white", and I find that silly. Why? Because I'm just like her, but I'm not white. So in your book does that mean I was adopted? I wasn't, it's just how I am, and my skin tone has nothing to do with my behavior. It's really more the culture wherever you live. But again, not everyone of the same race lives in the same place or the same way.

I just hope you'll give that theory some more thought and see if that truly makes sense to you, but I'm not trying to change your mind. If you happen to make the same conclusion, then that's what happens.

Sorry for the text wall.

Your taking one person artistic opinions too far.

First off your subject a fantasy character to change that does not occur in cannon, and it not related. Fact is, There orange, Pinks, and purple ponies.

And I'm not saying it's impossible. I've seen people be everything, white people acting in a certain black cultural ways, Black people acting in more white cultural way.

It's ignorant to say there isn't a difference. But also ignorant to say these difference makes someone below or above.

People will act anyways, sometimes they rebel against there own raising, and create there own identity.

When we look at lady gaga, no one thinks "Crazy White Chick", because that not norm for whites. But she still is white. She is crazy though because she's gaga.

What I'm trying to convey is it is my thoughts on how she would look. My thoughts.

And the fact is, stereotypes came about BECAUSE they happened. People didn't come up with stuff just out thin air. What wrong is apply it to race as whole.

And while we're on subject, I've also found it stereotype of black people to be easily offend about racial comment, to pick on them, and often blow them out of proportions. And I find that bye doing what your doing now is that your not actaully trying to enlighten me, rather force this idea of world where no one acts the same or just because your born just way won't mean you'll do certain things.

It's not certainty that you'll do said thing, it's just matter of realize that these traits do often happen, and thus we get use to what is the highest common denominator.

There is also girls like you who are outside that and fit into OTHER common denominator or create the own thing.

Simplified, blacks are more likely to act in black culture because that is how they we're raised. Not that it will always happen or is fact but just highly repeating occurrence. The same goes for any race. And to ignore the fact that people will sometime get these traits based who they are is ignorant.

The sad fact of world is people judge a lot on looks, and make a lot of assumption of appearance.

Within deeper analysis, lets looks word, Discrimination. What does this word mean? There is common definition, which we all know, and then there is dictionary definition:
"To Tell apart or separate"

This simply means i can recognize you have different skin, different personality, and different traits. It's also function that allows humans to tell things that bond us together, like if both have long hair, both enjoy MLP:FiM. In this sense it's not matter of racism, but simply trait to guide us socialization and survival.

Discrimination is used to tell that black mushroom is poisonous, and that white one is safe, because i can tell it apart. It also says someone with offensive tattoo and mean look on there faces most likely doesn't want to talk.

This applied with social situation. This is ability to realize what could be offensive. Say, recognizing that black person may not enjoy certain subject that would be offensive to them. Not to say they would, it a matter of safe.

Would you say it be smart to walk up to anyone and say "Wanna go out and eat KFC?" Since I have ability to tell apart, i know that certain people most likely will take offense.

Discrimination is ONLY used for first time meetings. As we get to know the person for who they really are, there traits, and other things i cannot know right away, such as that you we're a African that was a lot like rarity, there no way i could have know that trait at first glance.

As someone keeps talking with that Person, we then develop the ability to give them identity, there own recognizable traits, to infact discriminate that they different then a lot of people in a lot of other ways.

To wrap this all up, we end with this: Never judge a book with cover, but take it with grain of salt if say something like "Mien Kamf" on title. Clearly this book isn't same as other, but i'll have read how is before i judge.

Sorry for great text wall of china.

Wow...that is indeed the great text wall of China.

We're actually agreeing on quite a few things you mentioned. But!

1) Do you see how your initial comment potentially contradicts the the fact you know stereotypes do not always apply? You made a bland statement without any further context.

2) Culture is based on the region, not on the skin tone (and even skin tone is based on region historically). People only see it that way because we associate certain habits with certain ethnicities. I'm always on the fence about that though because to me it doesn't seem right to assume they will behave a certain way just because they're black, white, asian, indigenous, or anything else. I would much rather take them as they are without trying to relate anything they say or do to race alone. But that's just me & what I say is not necessarily right/wrong or better/worse than what anybody else thinks.

Anyway, I'm glad you went further to explain you know better!

The other person that responded to me used link to picture that summed up what i was trying to explain, But now we're through that, maybe we can get know each other.

I'm part of international club at my school so I'm very open to learning about cultures.

And maybe I am little racist, but I don't want to be if I am. I really don't.

It's good you're in that kind of club! Wish everybody would join one!

I think we all are a little, just because of what society says. The important thing is to recognize it and always do your best not to be.
