A friend of mine really likes Natu and Xatu so I thought why not make a pic starring them, they're very underrated Pokemon and deserve some attention.

I had some trouble figuring out what I wanted to do with this pic, at first I was going to use Beamman's grass effect and use a tree accessory, but I couldn't fine any trees I liked that weren't part of a stage, and a stage would likely interfere with the grass effect.
I ended up finding a stage I liked that was recommended to me on the MikuMikuEffect Discord server, and I decided to just use this stage instead. I think that was the right choice because in the end it looked much more "alive".

I decided to use Raycast, too, to make things more vibrant and such. I had wanted to use my feather material for Raycast, and this was a great opportunity to do so! I'm not sure if it works 100% on them since I'm used to seeing them smooth, not with actual feathers, but the feathers do look good. They looked good without the feather textures too, though.

I really like how this came out in the end, though! I couldn't really make any dynamic poses due to the shape of these models, but I think I did a decent job at it. This was also great Raycast practice. Though I am much better with NCHL2 Shader, I enjoy learning how to use Raycast. I plan on releasing more Raycast materials soon! Most of the time I exclusively post them to BowlRoll, so I recommend checking it frequently to see what's added!

I'm having a bit of a bird obsession rn so I'll probably make lots of bird related stuff.
