so it was ridiculously hard to find a model of Rabbit Yukine, and when I did I couldn't find a model of 2021 Miku's version of Rabbit Yukine so the rabbit is someone else's original design for her (is Rabbit Yukine a boy? or a girl? dunno) but it's a really cute design so it's fine
I am so proud of this render. It came out beautifully and I am happy it is my first full render of the New Year! 2021 was one of my favorite Snow Miku designs and I've been wanting to use this model of her for a while. She's just so pretty! As soon as I heard the theme was "snow", I knew I had to do something with Snow Miku!
Took about 3 days altogether, and I ended up completely crashing MMD when I tried to use Starry Winds. For some reason my computer didn't like it and just went "nope" as soon as I loaded it in and crashed MMD. Fortunately I had saved prior to loading it so nothing of value was lost, but it was still disappointing. I'll figure out the effect someday though!

The scenery felt a bit lacking around the edges, I was trying to add more trees but was running into some issues and MMD was loading pretty slow due to the detailed models and heavier effects loaded so it was really hard to move them. Eventually I just resorted to using various post effects, but I wanted to make sure the background wasn't 100% obscured as it would hide the aurora I put in the background. Many ones I wanted to use wouldn't have worked due to them obscuring large amounts of the background, shame. But I think I did it well!
AND about the aurora. I had wanted to try to use AuraPMD to simulate the northern lights and I finally got the chance to! It came out really great and I highly recommend trying it out!

ikBokeh blurred the snow effect a lot so most of the snowflakes are just circles, but there are some visible snowflakes. Shame though. They were pretty.
