1. How do people do this? I mean without using effects from MME or editing the picture

2. Now open a model or a edit you did. You see the shadowing on his skin is gray? well that's because of toons.

3. PMDE starts you with some toons (01 to 06 or 07 are working toons).

4. And to change toons you will have to go here.The tenth tab called "Toon".

5. To make a toon open any drawing program (I use paint tool sai)
Make sure it's 32 by 32.

6. Draw the toon like this.
Make sure to save it as whatever you wanted it to be. This is for the skin so call it SkinToon and save it as a .bmp.

7. Now you can add it by changing the name. (Go back to the Toon tab)

8. In PMXE all you need to do is write the toon name.

9. Now everything that was in Toon01 will change to the SkinToon.

10. Now keep doing that until you are happy.
Make sure everything is tooned in the right spots because you don't want a skin shadow on your boats.

11. When is opens it looks odd. It has hard shadows instead of soft shadows.
Well it's a easy fix, go to Model manipulation and click shadow.

12. Now the model you wanted is soft shadow.
Ignore the headphones, eyes and this. It was a glitch from turning it to .pmd.

13. A good example of toons and no toons.
Please note I did make the toons for this model.
Everything on this model has toons. Nails, eyes, lips, eyeshadow, teeth and more.
P.S I had fun making toons for the Asami base ;v;

On other note -
PMXE has no limit to how many toons you can use on a model while PMDE has a limit of 10 toons per model.
