Five bajillion people have asked me how to properly install and use Plugins on UTAU. So, despite how there's probably other tutorials on this (I'm too lazy to search), I decided to piece one together because I'm too lazy to do a video on it.Sorry you all have to suffer through my handwriting. Why I didn't type the things is beyond me.
Like I say in it, try to figure out what went wrong if it isn't showing up/it isn't performing its function, and if nothing works THEN ask me and I'll try to help you work it out. Also, please please PLEASE tell me if I forgot something or said something wrong in this tutorial.

IF YOU'RE USING A 4.0 OR LATER VERSION OF UTAU: To get plugins to work you need to go to Tools > Options > Others and check the box next to "Output..." and make sure the box below says "(All)".
NOTE that some plugins may not work without Japanese local or AppLocale. Many rely on Japanese inside .txt files, which turns to gibberish without the locale change, so I am unsure what will work and what won't.

Hi. I know it might be an old tutorial.. but I need help. Here I go : it's been 4 months I installed UTAU and I've lost all of my courage using it. I installed romantokana, having my locale and even my keyboard in japanese, but even though it just says "romantokana" in the plugins folder and on the .txt, it still turns my lyrics into gibberish. It really never works. So I went here and tried to install the CVC or something, but the name isn't in japanese either and I can't change it, permission denied, needs to be an administrator or something like that. All the plugins are in the RIGHT folder, but it just won't change. I'm getting really angry and that makes me wants to uninstall UTAU even though I really wanted to try it. I don't think I can make it without help. I also put the - I don't remember - something output on "all", as you said, but that doesn't change anything. I can't find any solution, so here I go asking you for the ultimate help before I definitely get rid of UTAU because I can't get the romaji to hiragana to work.

can anybody help me and tell me why my pitch edit is not working?? like i can edit the pitch in and do the pitch but when i press ok the pitch that i edited is not there and nothing changed help plz

i tried changing the name and not changing the name but NO MATTER WHAT I DO. I SWEAR. It just doesnt show up and yes i have reloaded it several times!

Thank you for mentioning that last bit about setting output to all. I had to reset my laptop months ago and afterwards, the advanced pitch editor plugin didn't work, but now it does!

This is the second tutorial I've tried for this but I still can't get my plugins to show up help plz?

And if I load it into UTAU anyway it gives me an error because something with the fuking Java data isn't righ. Ugh. Fml

I tried using kana to roma (ChieP), but it stays in hiragana. How to fix? (I'm using a VB that's encoded in romaji and hiragana.)

I managed to install the plug-in correctly, I think, but it keeps giving me a "permission denied" error whenever I try to use it. (I'm trying to use the CV to VCV plug-in). Does anybody know how to fix it?

help! i can't open up zteer's pitch editor plugins! i done everything like run the program as compability of windows 98/ME, changing my pc to japanese location, format, but it's still keep out saying "120.00 is not a valued floating point"!

dont work keeps only replacing the pluging exe with the other plug in. An only allows one plug in to work >.<

p.s earlier, i did the hira to roma
the plugin ran, but.. it didnt change to romaji. it stayed hiragana. ._. then i changed it. and its doing the error

I got both roma to hira and hira to roma
my problem is that when i start it, a box pop up and says ''cannont read table file''
what does that mean? my locale works, and i tried applocale. Nothing worked. i even re-did everything. its still freaking out like that.

I'm sorry, but I know I already posted a comment, but I left something out. Whenever I hit "play" something pops up that says "Failed to generate wav file. Please check the settings." Anyway I can fix that? So my Utau actually sings? Because I am getting no sound. (I thought my problem was everything was in romaji instead of hiragana, but I made one, and only one, symbol hiragana, and that still popped up when I hit play)

Okay, I got it to appear, but whenever I use it, nothing happens. My lyrics stay in romaji. Any clue what's going on? (and I did use Tools > Options > Others and all of that because I have a 4.0 version)

it says: can not find script file "C:\Program Files (x86)\UTAU\plugins\diphonize\diphonize.js". the file shows up in tools, but wont work! (my local is in japan right now to, but the keyboard is in English.)
