In order to upload a video through DeviantArt you need to upload it as a flash video/.swf
I use Free Video to Flash Converter.

The one from DVDVideoSoft? I have that too. Thing is it only gives me three resolution options, and the only good one is way too large. What settings did you choose for this video? I'd like to have mine display at a similar size.

I use a custom settings.
when you click the magic wand option click new, set the name and description
Video Settings
change .FLV to .SWF
Video codec to H264_Main
Frame rate and Bit rate to same as input
Width and Height to your choice (settings I use is 854x480)
Audio Settings is up to you (MP3 would be good)
