Oh my god i finally did an actual digital painting, and it looks DECENT! ;o; *Is proud of self*

It's my first proper picture of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon! ^__^ I spent days trying to figure out a pose for this picture, that hasnt been done before. As far as i know i dont think this has been done yet. ^_^ It's Hiccup's boot by the way.

Also this is my first time using the pen tool to ink an artwork, and im pretty happy with how that turned out, its a very useful tool, when you learn the basics. The classes are working u gais.

Im so happy with how thise turned out ;o; obviously the painting is not the best, since it's my first time trying it, i'll try practising more with this technique. But i think its a pretty good first attempt. Yay!

I didnt want to ruin this pic with one of my crappy backgrounds, so i found a nice photo on my computer and manipulated it, and slapped a texture over the whole thing. What do you think? Was this a good idea?

Im asking for critiques, but not on how the character is drawn. Honestly i dont care much about that XD My concern is with the painting and inking and other elements like that.

i hope you guys enjoy viewing this as much as I enjoyed making it! ^__^

(im thinking i should make my own night fury character... hmm... I have way too much i need to do though O_o)
