Well, I fixed the white box problem (Got Fireworks MX), but I still need some thing on...:How to make it so he doesn't go off the screen, up the buildings (correct hit_test):

I still think it's amazing that people have. This was just a test and yet people still come across this and call it amazing. If you look at my newer stuff you'll see that I have improved alot haha. Not to mention I have a cartoon series coming out soon. The trailer will be up on Devi in a few days.

It's a cartoon series a friend and I were playing for quite a while, and after I got decent enough at Flash I told him ''Let's start this thing!'' So it's about me (and very possibly him later on, but he's already playing as one of the characters, haha) getting warped into different game worlds, one game per episode. I have the script for Ep. 1 all done, and the trailer for the series will be on YouTube and DeviantArt very soon.

and also; if u dun want him 2 dun off d screen then u should make 2 movie clips (one for each side) and give them an instance name of "leftbound" and "rightbound" and den u should hv sumthing like dis in sora's (or whereever u hv d coding) coding:

and vice versa
And i think u shuld also make it so dat when he stops moving the animation also stops u can do dis by going to where u put d coding for sora and do sumthing like:

I dun no if dat mite work cause i dun rilli know how u set ur coding up but i hope dis stuff helps a bit^^

Nah, they didn't work...I set mine up by having Still Sora as a movie clip, then double clicking him, putting pics of him for running, then used these:

another idea . . . try useing else-if's . . .
i.e
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)) {
this._y = this._y+10;
gotoAndStop(2);

gotoAndStop(4);
}else if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {

gotoAndStop(*stopped animation*)

that'll also keep if from 'sticking' on one frame when you hit, for example, the up and left keys, but you'll also only be able to go one direction at a time, unless you put in the additional combinations.
alternately, you could put in another variable to determine if your moving, make it true if any of the keys are down, and at the end, if it's false, then go to the stoped animation.
