Hey guys,Thought it was about time to submit a bit of an update on what I have been up to. Working on this transformer for an advanced 3D project. I have animated the transformation and I am currently playing with lighting and setting up the render.
Bit of info about this guy: He is an Autobot, transforms from an ipod... and he is really really small.
Inspired by the recent transformers movie. Concept and design is pretty much all mine but I have looked at the movies transformers as I have made this.

As a matter of fact, I just drew him today. I tried my best not make him look like yours, but tell me what you think. I should upload it in the next few days. I have no name ideas though, do you have any?

Wow. Now that's what I call nice! I wish I could do stuff with mechs. But sadly I can't. Now the program you used, how does that work out? Did you have to draw everything from scratch?

I used maya to create this. I started by drawing some concepts, and visualizing how it would transform. I then built it in maya

I guess, but the "maya" part is not that simple. I have been doing 3D for about 4-5 years now. Takes time and experience.

Soooo great work....I really think you should consider sending them this model.....maybe some kind of a freaky-space-alien-robot that comes from outter space...just in time to save everyone....or just some sort of a small role on the play....like a co-actor....LOL

Thanks guys, yep... hes about the size of an ipod, possibly a bit bigger. I will try to submit the animation of him transforming once I have completed it. Or at least link it here.
