Description
This is Andy. He's a Sock Monster, I don't know what else to call him or what species of monster he is exactly. My parents weren't much help either at thinking up a spiffy new name. He looks like a bunch of striped socks sewed together. The base of this artwork is 12'' X 12 1/2'', and he's 10'' at the head, I don't know exactly how long his tail is if it was stretched out...maybe a ft or 13''. He's got four tentacles on his back that come equipped with eyes.
I don't have much info about this guy except he can retract his extra eyes much like a snail and he's very flexible. He also eats strays and sickies (both animals and people), he thinks he's doing them a favor by releasing them from a miserable existence.

The old, leftover clay I used was Sculpey and some other kind of recycled clay (I don't remember the name that I had to make moist in order to mold it) that came in small square packages bought at a yard sale and was in different colors. The extra eyes came from an old Christmas ornament, while the puppy was from some tacky gewgaw that got busted. The wire scaffolding consists of old coat hangers and copper electrical wiring.
