I was recently laid off and I have been searching for a unique resume template to use and have had no luck finding anything exciting until I came across your design. I absolutely love it. Is there anyway to use your design as a template?

You may use the overall layout of my design to help structure yours, but I am hesitant to send the actual template because I do not want it copied the exact same way. My design would become less unique if you were to just replace the info with yours. If you are willing to make enough changes that it is not a direct copy, I would be happy with that.

I really appreciate you getting back to me and taking the time to consider my request... Here is what I was thinking...
Since I am in the banking/finance industry I would probably need to change the color, I was thinking about putting my name and contact info at the top, then profile, skills/qualifications, education, and experience. The reason I loved your resume so much was the way you had your experience and education in columns and not just in a list vertically. I tried to make a similar version in Microsoft word but it didn't come out as neat and clean and yours did...
If you don't feel comfortable I totally understand...

Are you familiar with any Adobe software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)? To achieve the same typographic layout you would have to use at least one of these programs. Microsoft word is great for word processing but I'm afraid it limits you when working with Typography and Grid Layouts.

I don't understand the sidebar. Is this an interactive resume, or multi-paged?? So would this be only the profile section?
But I like the layout and design otherwise. The fonts for the content (item title, item description, place/date name) all work very well together, and the background is interesting/evocative/grungylove without being distracting or messy.

Thanks for the feedback! The sidebar needs to be reworked a bit. Instead of nesting together at the top, they should be placed next to the appropriate content. I also need to update the resume with new info...
