The reflection of the softbox in the eyes gives a bit of oomph to them. All I've done to this is convert to b&W (I think in this case it was via calculations if I remember correctly) and some sharpening.

this is such a wonderful children's portrait. he seems to be ... almost ... channeling the spirit of some great screen actor here. he looks old beyond his years. like you can see the man he'll become shining through the boy he is. black and white really helps the mood. the lighting really makes his hair look nice too.

No aika korkea oli kynnys laittaa... mitä olen sivusta seuraillut suomalaisia saitteja niin on se kommentointi niin perin nuivaa ja ilkeääkin, jos ei kuvassa satu olemaan skarppi merikotka horisontti suorassa... Olin kyllä iloisesti yllättynyt että sain niin positiivista palautetta, ehkäpä uskaaltaa sinne toistekkin jotain laittaa.

joo se meno on kyllä todella julmaa. Ehkä siksi että ihmisillä tuntuu olevan todella kapeakatseinen ja radikaali käsitys mikä on hyvää ja mikä huonoa.

Shot in raw, developed in Capture One, converted to b&w in PS with calculations (for this one I think, depends on the picture what method I use).
