I mentioned February 28th marks 10 years on deviantART. However, also 10 years ago, I decided to let out my talents here. Before joining deviantART, I was more shy expressing my art to many people. I don't know what brought me to decide to actually have the courage to actually upload something, however I did it. To this day guys, the year 2008 in the month of June (according to the statistics) has the highest amount of artwork uploaded. That's quite an accomplishment at the time LOL

My first picture I ever uploaded on deviantART was a hand drawing of 2007 Optimus Prime. Keep in mind, I was in 7th grade when I drew it. Looking back at it now, it actually was still impressive that I had an eye for detail. Since then, I have uploaded pencil drawings for awhile. Hilariously enough, back in the day when I was naive, one of my inspirations was a deviant name bleedman. I'll be quite honest, despite what some may think of him, his style is probably the reason how I got into anime. So, while I adapted to his style (sort of), in due time, I developed my own style being inspired by mainly anime in general.

Then, the beginning of the coloring age. My dad got me a Wacom Bamboo tablet for Christmas and I also got Corel painter. I drew some random girl for testing. Then I began doing some coloring and drawing from the tablet. There was also photoshop elements along the way to get some more lovely effects for my work. Having the hybrid of traditional and digital was what I had during high school. From Star Wars the Clone Wars to Transformers Prime were the days I will recall upon dearly for a long time.

It was then I moved to another state in 2012. After the move, I lost both Corel painter and photoshop elements. So, during the remainder of my senior year, I continued to draw in pencil again. I finally graduated from high school in 2013. I was given an incredible graduation present from my dad: an iPad mini. He suggested to me some drawing apps to try out. One of them being an app called Procreate, which is the current program I use today. I also have Photoshop Touch and SnapSeed for final touches and non-procreate effects. While I had technical issues to the point where my old iPad literally died with massive battle scars, i was still able to accomplish projects for you all.

Also to note, you may have noticed that I have been on and off once and a while uploading art work. With adult life taking it's course, it's harder to find the inspiration and difficult to keep drawing like I used to back in the day. But I really do love drawing. It is a time when my concentration fires up and my determination never faltered in hoped to finish soon. Whether or not I wanted to art as a career is yet to be determined (I would love to have something art worthy as a job, I just don't know which one LOL).

That is pretty much my art progression. For the past decade I've been on deviantART, one of the many things that give me reason to keep uploading to deviantART as long as I did, is really all thanks to you guys. I kept uploading in hopes to get good compliments. Mind you, I was shy uploading back in 2008. While I am reluctant and careful of what I wish to upload, I became more open with spreading my work to the world. To think, I was even able to start from with just penciled sketches for myself to sharing my talents to one of the greatest voice actors of our time. It is seriously all thanks to you.

You all have no idea how good it feels to have compliments along with good advice and some guidance. Each artist express in different ways and they speak to certain people. At the end of the day, many of us artists will agree that compliments and advice make the work we do worth it. Guys, give these talented artists the good word they deserve. As an artist myself, I enjoy many pieces of my work here in my page. For those who just saw my work for the first time or have been long time followers whoever you are, I thank you for the comments, the support, the faves, or just talking in general.

[ARTIST ADVICE SECTION HERE]

If any of you out there are starting to draw and/or have difficult time finding inspiration, there is no need rushing. It takes time to get the hang on understanding the basics of anything you draw. Start with simple shapes like apples for example. There is a good reason why it is a great place to start. The apple shows shapes, colors, shading, lighting, etc. After learning the simplicity of an apple, expand it far enough learn more than what an apple could bring. Start by finding inspiration. Inspiration is everywhere. It is a massive beginning factor for anything you accomplish and drawing is no exception. Learn from other artists and you can incorporate to your own. Turn the apple into what no one has done before. Or you can draw your waifus or something LOL

I keep saying this, but keep practicing. Take breaks cuz drawing is not always easy and can hurt you sometimes. Don't just sit and let your brain overheat. Let your brain look around. What do you think would make school better? Go on a vacation at a beach! Did something make you sad? Happy? Mad? Laugh? Do you often feel like you're floating? What does the scene from a book look like to you? Got your own story in mind? Who's your favorite waifu? DRAW IT OUT! It is the one thing that let's us see what we want to see the same way it does for writing.

Put your best to what your brain pictures and let it loose onto paper with your pencil or any medium you desire.

All the characters in this drawing belong to their respected creators. However, these are the character I love and enjoy drawing from time to time. Some were simple and some were difficult. Some nostalgic and some were new. They are often what inspires me to draw.
