I don't think that's armor for Godzilla. My guess is that it's probably a Fake Godzilla. Yes, Mechagodzilla has red dorsal plates on his back and I think "Mega Godzilla" is presumedly MonsterVerse's very own Fake Godzilla. Especially since he is an APEX weapon, another group terrorist that wants to destroy all titans and Monarch.
