I think it's because his body was meant to truly resemble a robotic version of the Real Godzilla compared to his original counterpart, who looks like he belongs in anime.

That's debatable. But yeah I get what you mean.
My one gripe was that it didn't have the insane fire-power of it's original counterparts.

Well ... That's also debatable since his laser was able to overpower Godzilla's atomic breath.

I mean yeah but comparing laser blasts, rocket fists, and missiles to the original and his laser eyes, missile fingers, belly-button blast, and chest cannons, all at the same time... I can't help but feel like there could've been more added.

I actually saw a video of the original Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla, and I'm beginning to see what you mean.

When he/it fights Godzilla and King Caesar, and absolutely unleashes on them, firing EEEEEEverything at them. Half of the shots of Godzilla and King Caesar in that attack were them covered in dust clouds, half of them were full of lasers and explosions.
