Does electricalΒ initiation make this weapon vulnerableΒ to EMPs? What advantages does electrical initiation offer over traditional methods?
Also, I don't know if you have heard this but the US Army and Marines are planning on handing out suppressors as standard issue. Less noise and prevents hearing damage, less VA costs and you can actually hear orders being issued. If you ever update or make new designs adding an integrated suppressor may not be too crazy of an idea. The special operations variantΒ could be issued with specialized ammo or other components to make it even quieter.
Best Regards,
Endorfinator

Military-grade weaponry is hardened to protect against electromagnetic effects, with shielded batteries and microprocessors; they also have built-in breaker systems inside to prevent surge damage. This was done not only to protect against weaponised EMP (both strategic and tactical), but also against flare damage in space during planetary or asteroidal operations (in regions with active CMEs). Suit electronic components are likewise protected, and suits like SPARO and ECE have Faraday meshing woven into them.
Electrical initiation advantages include zero delay between pulling the trigger and the shot going out, and less moving parts. Coupled with caseless ammunition, there's no need to have an ejection port for firing, which can reduce sound further when the weapon is equipped with a suppressor (no gas or light escaping from the port, and less cycling noise). The majority of military weapons can be equipped with a QAD suppressor and subsonic ammunition is available to further reduce the report

On a side note, is the kasper based on the tavor? Not the design, but the idea?

Much of it was based around the XM8 and SCAR from Crysis, along with a helping of the Aliens M-41A. Haven't played anything beyond a short period of the original Halo so I'm largely unaware of the weapon details aside from basic shape.

I really like it ^^

Does it have a bayonet lug? Or are bayonets considered inhumane weapons to Escean people, as they are to contemporary Austrians?

Bayonet will attach above the barrel and a tigthening ring lock behind the flash hider.

Awesome, it seems like a mix of the XM8, FAMAS, and also the TAR-21. But I would also say it looks similar to the DMR from the video game Halo. Very nice!

I love this, man. I can see a bit of XM8 in this, along with some FAMAS and SR-25 with the entire thing given a futuristic, sci-fi mixture. Simply beautiful.

It is something of a mixture, heh. Thanks.

It reminds me of an M8 and Battle Rifle from Halo.
Nice job!

The Carrying Handle reminds me of the Mk20 SCAR from "Crysis 2" and "Crysis 3"...
Good Work, anyway!

Thanks. I did use the SCAR for inspiration. This is the first time I've managed to get that look of carry handle to actually work on one of my own designs.
