Description
Iwas playing around with branching tree forms with some new different techniques and so far was able to come up with this image and a few others.I was thinking it would be cool if apophysis could load sub fractals into a fractal as in ....
(a transform that displays a different parameter inside another fractal. Basically you would load a new file from a parameter file when you click on that variation)
It would work kind of like Joel Fabers image load variation but instead of an image it would be a new parameter. You would not be able to manipulate that sub fractal like the main active one but it would add image variety mathematically and it could be modified as a whole with the other variations in the same way as the FX transform modifies a whole fractal.
Of course you would also need a move and rotate feature on all transforms so they could be positioned freely and not confined to the center of the x and y coordinates
I was thinking of creating a landscape by moving and adding the shapes of these different individual tree fractals with other landscape elements within apophysis. I think the present power of computers might be too slow to calculate too many different equations simultaneously but I'm not sure 100%
But even adding just one other sub element into a fractal would be worth some extra processing time.
Adding multiple sub fractals of different types would be a dream. Of coarse the work around is just composite them in photoshop.
Any way I hope you enjoy the image and comments are welcome.
Cory

hrmm its a really nice fractal, especially zoomed out
but i like what you are saying even more!
ive just started yesterday with fractals and Apo, and i was thinking the same thing concerning the "mapping" of the fractals with another fractal or image..
by the way have you heard about a plugin(?) that would allow to plug in a vector image into a fractal?
it must be possible

The flame fractal system is evolving slowly. I'm sure all these ideas will eventually be incorporated into the programs. Zueuk and the Apo team has already done more than I would have ever expected to happen so quickly most notably the 3d version. I make suggestions regularly about what I would like to see incorporated with no expectations.

This fractal is spectacular!
The branching fractal texture of the branches themselves is a lovely surprise. And the colors are great as well! : )

Great image! Interesting thought, I used to use Xenodream, and this had a action like that, where you could change the "holon"(transform) to another style of fractal, and lock it or unlock it! Ive been meaning to mention this to the creators of apo to see if it would be a possibility?

Thanks Grinagog!
I take it that is the name you like to be called here but if not let me know what works better for you.
Just downloaded the new apophysis and am experimenting with that, some of the features I have long wished for are included. It is awesome that there are people like Zeuek who are into improving the program.

Very nice fractal here. Lots of contrast and interest here. Well done.
I like your idea for the program as well. The only way I've found to do remotely what you are talking about is with post work, but it would be very cool if the flame program did this as well.

great work, fits the title perfectly
from what ive heard they are also working on something for the next apop build that cold have a similar effect to what you are saying even though it would work differently
