I'm not sure if you take advice or not, and I would hate to offend you or anything, but if you were to use a soften tool after you wrote in your words it would end up looking a lot more realistic.

(I hope you aren't offended by me saying this, because by no means did I intend it in this way!)

Not at all, I did try to soften it a bit, but it was hard to do without making the key itself look strange and blurry I appreciate the criticism

Not trying to drag up an old topic here, (this is Great, by the way!) but if you put the words on a separate layer than the button, you could get the desired effect while keeping the key in tact.

haha thanks I did it on gimp, I used the cloning tool and covered up what was previously written then I wrote Avada Kedavra over top. I dreww the 'wand' and te green lines with a the drawing tool and used a small greenflare for the light
