If you haven't been paying attention to my account (and I dont blame you for the inactivity), I like .
I probably won't be drawing actual pony as much as human forms. I love watching peoples' take on them so I did my own take. I'll probably change it, I don't know. I wanted more human and less horns and wings for this design. Maybe I'll change them up next time.

I absolutely love this! This has to be my favourite art of the princess of mlp being humans Β the clothes you gave them is PERFECT. And your probably the only one who bases the skin colours off of there skin colours in the actual show. Seeing peaple make Luna pale and celestia dark skinned was just annoying. And I strongly dislike it. If someone's going to make a human character off a animal character they should base the skin color off of the animal fur color. Instead of being downright dumb and saying "oh celestia out on the sun a lot and Luna barely sees te sun" YES SHE DOES!! and ponies fur doesn't have any affect on the sun. And THATS what they should be basing it on. Instead of being downright dumb! I hate it when peaple do that!Β
Frogive my stupidity. This is really cute and cool

Funny , my headcanon is the opposite.: black Celestia and pale Luna. I have Celestia darker because she is always in the sun and Luna is pale because she hardly sees the sun. Also, because they just look cute like that . Anyways, I love your picture. Celestia and Luna are simply adorable.

If they are sisters why is Luna black and Celestia white

1) its possible for siblings to be of mixed race but may only look like one race
2) its a personal interpretation
3) its a cartoon...

As much as I love diversity in the MLP community ... I'm pretty sure that Luna and Celestia are full sisters ...

Generally, when you mix a white parent with a black parent, you get tanned children. That's how genes work.

not necessarily, genetics doesnt work like colors. you can have a white and black parent but appear more white or black.

Yes, but genetics DO work like colors. At least when it comes to the melanin in skin.
What you have created is a completely Caucasian Celestia and a completely African Luna.

...no it doesnt. they dont work like colors. i have friends who are mixed but you cant see one half. i have a friend who is a mix of white, mexican, and native american and you dont really see that he's white. i have a friend who is mexican and black and you can't see that she is mexican. genetics is random.

I have friends who are half white, half black and they look like they're Indian (as in from India) because they're a tanned pigment.
Your friend who's White/Mexican/Native American, the dark takes over the light as darker pigments are more dominant. Which is why he wouldn't look white.
The same goes for the Mexican/Black friend. They both also have very similar body structures. I've met full Mexicans who look Black.
Unfortunately, genetics /aren't/ random. It's all about dominance. Or did you not take biology in school? You mix the white flower with the red flower and get pink flowers. That's basic ninth-grade biology.

so it happens like that sometimes. sometimes it doesnt.
dark doesnt always take over light. there are people out there with a black parent but can appear white. there is a thing called a black irish where you dont have pale skin and red hair.
there is a thing called genetic mutation. it happens RANDOMLY. genetics DO happen randomly. you get a recessive and dominant gene. what you just said is called co-dominance. but that is not entirely genetics. because that doesnt explain why my parents both have blue eyes and i dont. its called some alleles will dominant completely. skin is that way.

This explains how your parents can have a brown eyed child (that is saying that you're not adopted).
And mutations are RARE but NOT random. It all has to do with how the genes line up. Everything is in your DNA and there is TONS that we don't know about our DNA.

the man of genetics, Mendel, founded genetic laws. First law:
When a pair of organisms reproduce sexually, their offspring randomly inherit one of the two alleles from each parent. These observations of discrete inheritance and the segregation of alleles are collectively known as Mendel's first law or the Law of Segregation.
and according to the flower example you showed me, the flowers have a 25% chance of looking red and 25% of looking white, aka, ONE FLOWER CAN LOOK LIKE ONE PARENT AND NOT THE OTHER.
[link] mother is white, father is black... TWICE... TWICE they had twins. TWICE they didnt both come out tan. One is like the mom, one is like the dad. ALL BECAUSE OF MENDAL'S FIRST LAW OF RANDOM INHERITANCE IN GENETICS

Genetics is baised on dominate genes. I know of a guy who is black and his dad is white. Mockingbyrd is right. Genes are different then colours, you learn that in science at school?

or like how i have mixed eye color while the rest of my family has blue eyes. genetics is random! for me, i made celestia white and luna black because i felt if they were human, thats how they would look. they can still be mixed and that would make sense that the leaders of equestria are of mixed race, like how they are alicorns.

No problem and I personally haven't seen any but I have no doubt that you are right. Besides if we all had the same opinion on things life wouldn't be very interesting
That's why we are all different
