Uuuh...pretty sure he looks too old but I saw that Aren was in need of betas so is this cool...?

I'm still getting a handle on drawing deers, let alone deerlings. I know I got the legs wrong. >:T I'll get the hang of it.

Intelligent: He has a good memory and loves receiving training as a beta, though he doesn’t outwardly show his enjoyment. He is quite studious, being particularly fascinated by the lore and history of his sister tribe. His intelligence doesn’t help him too much with social interactions—he lacks tact. Basically, he’s book-smart as opposed to street-smart.

Gentle: He is very soft-spoken and light handed. He likes delicate things such as butterflies, flower petals, and snowflakes. He handles them with graceful care. His actions and mannerisms are more like an elegant doe’s than a buck of Aren.

Dazed: He appears as quite the ditz sometimes. He’s constantly wandering off on his own, daydreaming and getting lost in his thoughts. In conversation, he gets easily distracted, changing the subject and looking off into space while the other deer is talking. Additionally, he’s not at all a morning person—it takes him a long time to shake off grogginess. “Sleepyhead” would be a pretty appropriate ((and freaking adorable)) nickname for him.

Feminine: From behind, it would be easy to mistake him for a doe. His slight stature and the way he holds himself gives off a very feminine impression. His voice as well is higher than the average young buck. It’s easier for him to build friendships with does. He lets romance get in the way of friendly relationships with other bucks.

Negative = [Judgmental] [Unhappy]

Judgmental: This trait is often silent, and when it does surface vocally it can be hard to tell if he is being serious. He will silently pick out other deers’ flaws, but keeps the observations to himself, using the private information to boost his own confidence. When his judgments are vocalized, he delivers the insults in his normal soft tone of voice, so it’s often interpreted as dead-pan humor.

Unhappy: In his dreaminess, there’s a touch of depression. Nothing in life has satisfied him. He’s never felt as if he belongs in his tribe, and his sexuality makes him insecure (despite the fact that no one has judged him for it thus far). History
Sil’s father, Leif, was a strong Deltain of Aren who fell in love with a doe of Arev named Fallan. They were diligent about keeping their relationship secret, but things became complicated when Fallan discovered she was pregnant. Leif proposed that the two run away and raise the child together, a plan to which his lover readily agreed.

A week before she was due to give birth, the two left the herds. To the young parents’ horror, Fallan’s labor began prematurely. Neither of them knew how to properly deliver a fawn. After it was over, their baby was healthy and beautiful, but Fallan had lost too much blood. She passed away just after naming the fawn “Sil.”

Leif took Sil back to his herd. There were questions, but the bulk of the herd realized that no matter what circumstances brought the foal into the world, he and his father needed a home, as well as a support system. For this reason, Sil never knew his cross-herd origins—he was raised as a normal fawn of Aren, with everyone treating him with just as much kindness as they did any other child. The only evidence of there being anything different about him was his more delicate appearance. He definitely displayed more Arev in his long legs and slender build.

From a young age, Sil had a habit of pretending to be a doe. This behavior stemmed from his curiosity about his mother—he studied the mannerisms of all the does in Aren and ended up adapting their feminine traits. This also made him distance himself somewhat from the other bucks he grew up with. For a long while in his youth, he decided that he wasn’t “male,” even though he knew that he wasn’t female either. His separation from the other bucks made him start to view them as something unique, exotic and, eventually, desirable.
