Part 1 of an entry process forI figured, since I always draw/write about the good guys, why not give the bad guys a try?

Rill was playing with her lighter when the ring of the bell startled her. Her hands fumbled, and she dropped it in the grass at a stranger's feet. Immediately, the dry grass caught fire.
"Crap! Oh man, sorry--" She leaped forward and stomped it out, scowling. Pushing red curls out of her face, she looked up at the Virus. "Didn't mean to, man, it was an acci-- okay." His appearance startled her. He didn't look... "normal."

The Virus laughed. "Oh, It's not a problem. Fire can't hurt me. In fact..." The Virus noticed that a little bit of fire was left. He pinched it between his claws, and ate it. "I find it quite delicious."

She stared, fascinated. "Alright. Uh, cool, sorry." What was he? Some kind of fire-creature, perhaps...? She tossed the light on the ground and it flared up under his feet. "Oops."

The Virus snatched the flames in his claws, and began to eat bits of it at a time. "Ah, plasma. Not as good-tasting as life energy, but delicious , nonetheless." He stretched out his claw. "My name is The Virus, by the way." His red grin shining brighter and more sinister than before.

"I'm Rill!" She took his claw and shook it, appreciating his sinister expression. "Pretty cool trick there. Are you literally a Virus?" She nudged the lighter with her foot and kicked it up, catching it in her hand.

The Virus laughed " I'm classified as a corrupted AI, as well as an Energy Being. I was'nt a virus to begin with, but a lightning strike here, and a splash of file corruption there, mixed with a freak accident, and voila!" he bowed, "You get the malicious being standing here today!
