This is how it was in the beginning.

Mikota fresh out of the ninja world, Flow just got out of her dimension, Darren arriving, Stone and Forever...

At first I was thinking of drawing how the group was like before Darren and Flow joined the party, but ultimately decided to always include them from now on.

Many years ago, the group consisted of everyone but Darren and Flow. Rove getting into trouble as usual, Pitt always running after Rove, Stone and Carol staying put waiting for Pitt to come back. Mikota off on her own somewhere and Hate's also on his own, not wanting to be involved with Rove's rebellious phase.

Actually, I'll let you in on a clue. These characters have a connection to me specifically, as Carol. How?

Characters' links to Carol:

Rove - He is her spear counterpart. In other words, her twin in another existence.
The timeline branches into two as soon as Carol was born, and Rove has been with her since the day she was born, two souls in tandem.

Mikota - She actually represents her childhood, what does that mean?
It means that Mikota is Carol's inner child. Mikota caught up in age though, since she and Carol are virtually the same person.

Hate - He was born during Carol's rebellious phase, back when she was emo and angsty in general.
Years later, he spent his time taunting Carol and consistently bringing her to despair. An inner demon, you could say. A long time after that, Hate decided to befriend Carol, and the rest is history.
I also think of Hate as my younger brother, even though we're not related. He thinks of me as his older sister as well.

Stone - For a few years, she has been my ray of light. If I ever get lost in life, she's the one who comes to my rescue.
She is (or was) innocence.

Darren - Recently I trusted him with an important role; he is my player one.
I have a theory where we are possibly controlled by another entity "behind the screen". To me, Darren is that entity.

Pitt - He and I actually shared a memory in the past; we both went on a school field trip, to Tibet.
And that memory, it sparked an entire saga that is the BetaMeta saga - a story spanning generations on Earth's sister planet, a planet that ended in 2012... this all began in Tibet.
Pitt was already around before the school field trip started; he just appeared on the first day of the field trip to experience the new world with me. And I won't ever forget those magical days.

Flow - She is a pretty recent addition, and so far for me she has (or has had) one role: She is the one who hands me willpower seemingly out of nowhere.
I tend to wonder how I'm optimistic. And because Flow is from another dimension, I suspect that she's the one who's been transferring positive energy to me from time to time. I don't comprehend the origin of this energy as a human being.
