I couldn't find an easy paragraph that would explain Dune, so I had to use the introduction from the David Lynch film.

Dune is one of those novel that you can't really explain to someone in a hitch. In fact, the closest explanation I've heard from people is that its the Lord of the Rings of Science Fiction. I could go further and say the story today could be best described as a Game of Thrones book, but in space.

And that's where the title of this post and theme behind the picture comes into play. There's no easy way to describe Dune. Frank Herbert mix and match a lot of themes to create this powerful piece of work that the only way to explain it is to read it yourself.

So I urge you all to pick up this book and give it a read. If you have a tablet or Kindle I'm sure Audible.com has it. Or if you're cheap like me, someone posted the audiobook on Youtube.

And if you've seen the Movie or the Sci-Fi Channel miniseries, trust me, the book is actually better.
