I made myself some kind of con badge for Galacon this weekend :3You probably won't see it since I plan to put it on the back side of this entry card/name thingy you get there

Is Lukida a confident flyer, or does she prefer walking instead?

Flying is no problem for her but she actually prefers to walk, especially for long trips. She can reach the clouds but she isn't a fast flyer.
The batponies of her village usually fly to reach fruit or to look for enemies or predators, so they rarely need to fly far or much higher than the treetops.
I wonder if there's anything similar in the LR or do they act more like the pegasi, considering they're more civilized?

Bat ponies are more nimble flyers then pegasi, but the latter are faster. In the LR bat ponies generally fly low and in amongst the buildings, but have to follow certain designated flight routes in order to avoid collisions and accidents. Outside the major cities, things are less restrictive though. Population-wise the LR is about 35% bat ponies, 20 % earth ponies, 15% unicorns (both northern and normal) and 10% pegasi. The remaining 1/5 of the kingdom are mixed race such as gryphons and others (including a small number of fire ponies).

Northern Unicorns, or Ominari as Bonaxor calls them, are slightly bulkier and harrier with curved horns which means they are better suited to their arctic homelands. However they aren't as intellectual or creative as normal unicorns and often find a formal magical education very difficult. Northern Unicorns admitted to the Academy of Magics and Sciences tend to favour more practical methods of learning magic (show and tell) in the outdoors as opposed to academic study in a library/classroom. As a consequence, they tend to not be as powerful or versatile as normal unicorns.Β
