There's a certain attitude of platformers in general that's seems to have been mellowed or lost in the 2000's and 2010's. They were each cocky and confident, arrogant yet heroic and selfless, and it would have come of as corney had each of their respective games not been amazing. What I'm getting at here is (though it's hard to identify and resurrect), Spyro was a perfect example of this and I love to see him redone in a game of his own faithful to his origins.
P.S. I've 100% the original trilogy along with the original Crash tetralogy (including CTR). I'm working on Rayman but that games a ***** to master.

My point is, that Skylanders would be so much better if it was al about Spyro

by doing something out of the ordinary. Its in Year of the Dragon as well.
