Description
Shot with reverse Canon EF-S 18-55mm lens and extension tubesThe wasp was already dead... that helped me quite a lot to get these photos.

What a macro! Absolutely amazing.
And yes, it does help (at least with insect photography) if your subject is dead.

a reverse lens is a normal lens, attached reverse to the camera.

oh well this is a cheap macro technique I use... I cannot afford a real macro lens at the moment.

I love this shot. The choice of depth is perfect for an artistic point of view , but i would love to see a documentary shot to show the wasp in crisp quality.
This shot definetly inspires, and its incredibly intimidating - but the colours would suggest that ofcourse.
Seeing a Bug closer than a 1:1 macro ratio is amazing for such a detailed micro shot.
