Description
Shot with reverse Canon EF-S 18-55mm lens and extension tubesThe wasp was already dead... that helped me quite a lot to get these photos.

Awesome shot. Wish I had done it... But I havent found a reverse adapter that fits sony/Konica Minolta

hmmm I wouldn know about that, but have you tried ebay? thats where I got mine from and I remember there were many.

well it doesnt have to be everyones thing. Its my hobby though to shoot such photos I enjoy finding small insects which I try to take interesting photographs from.

It's probably a shot from nature so ofcourse theres going to be dust. *sigh*

no, it's the other way around
if it was alive and out in nature, it would keep itself much cleaner
but the main point where i disagree with the suggester is the detail, for that magnification it lacks quite some imho ...

i have done a lot of insect macros, and they can have pollen, sand or other dirt on them sometimes, but the only ones i've seen with this type of household dust (note the long fibers) all over them have been dead or trapped inside houses

Ah I see your point. It's difficult to tell with insects since they don't really show the same symptoms of death like for instance mamals do.

I'm in a mood today, one of those female snuggly moods that wants to spread the love. In a way, a way I never thought I'd ever see, they are very cute and beautiful creatures. By the way, you are an excellent, most awesome photographier. By far, that is like catching a humming bird in flight. Glorious picture!
