Woot? It actually looks like a drawing! Does it mean I can draw...?
Just for the fun, I tested my Sora modell with the shader called "Ink'n' paint" in 3dsmax. Some minor photoshop work had to be done to smooth out the glitches with the toon shader. Combining this shader, with a ambient/reflective/occlusion shader, the result became unexpectedly nice!
This is just a test render I did, so i didnt look at the colors so much. Im aware his hair should be less red, and his shoulderpads more blue/grey.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed this shading as much as I do!

Yes it does. However.. I dont know how much that is going to be in help in this kind in this shader (its not a really good toonshader)... It looked a lot more jagged and messy before the photoshop cleanup

Ive barly touched zbrush or any other sculpting programs. There are a lot of neat stuff you can probably make with it... however I dont see the need of learning this yet

i really want zbrush... and maya for that matter.... i have absolutely no money....and because i'd want to bublish my stuff and can't just "find" them...

yeah. What comes out from that program always amaze me! There are other sculpting programs which are cheaper, if not free.. like.. mudbox?

Neh... if you would like to you could probably find a torrent of it. The softwares makers doesnt really care that you use it for learning purpose. ^^

Naaah... I feel that a medi computer works just fine. It will only take a few seconds or minutes more to render

Yes, i admit I am! Hahah! I love Sora! And final fantasy guys... Cloud, Squall, Tidus, etc etc! You should do them as well! Especially Cloud!

From what I have seen, you have done WAY better than I could ever do. The animation would look nice, but don't over due yourself, last thing you need is to loose your sanity...though it might be interesting...

i just kinda gave up on it... >.< i dunno.... nurbs kinda failed... :s his skeleton was really strange
yours looks cooler than mine XD i didnt have good reference images for mine >.< i did however model a low poly desk as an art excersise in class recently from an image which looks kinda cool :3 i should post up a render or something for a comparison
