This is very cool. I like how it's one tree standing in a storm or some sort of dead calm. I love the colors too. this is really good!!!

Infrared in lith? Wow. I have never seen that effect before. It sure produces a bizarre effect. But I like it! The tree seems almost not of this world, or angelic. Its glowing leaves and dark trunk and the barren landscape around it definitely add to the effect. A wonderful piece. I could never produce this effect by myself!

I have to say I do like the Efke IR820. Now that HIE is gone, it's the next best thing.

You've been featured in my latest journal: [link]
Did you use an ir filter to shoot this on a holga?

Yeah, I saw that in your description. It's just that I thought those ir filters could only be used on digital and not film?

IMO they work better on film! No hotspots, no IR filter over the sensor issues, no internal lens reflections. Only B&W though, no colour, unless you want to lith print and/or tone the print.

Wow, I had no idea that this was possible, so thank you for opening my eyes to this. I'm a holga user myself and have a Cokin 89B IR filter that I use for my Nikon D70, so I might give this a try.
If I may ask, do you have to make alterations for exposure time?

Yes you do. Some say rate in between ISO 1.5 to 6, with filter. I've come to the conclusion that you might as well throw the meter away with this film/filter combo. I now use 1-2 secs in bright sunshine, 4-8 secs in semi-shade, 30-60 secs in shade. Working for me so far

Thank you very much indeed.
One last question if I may - in regards to the exposure times mentioned above, what ISO film are you using?

I use Efke ir820. It's not marked with an ISO but I believe it's based on their 100 ISO film. Shoot it in daylight conditions without a filter and it should meter and reproduce as a normal 100 ISO B&W film. Not that I've tried that though, it's twice the price of normal b&w film
