Hey, this is the first frame of an animation I've been working on. It's a long ways from being done. It's been a ton of fun experimenting with animation and learning how to do it.I've been working on it pretty heavily the last few days, and I thought that this image was just so cute!
I decided to share it. However, now I'm worried that people are going to judge the non-canon wife without seeing the animation first. I promise it will all make sense when it is released... Well, at least in a fanfiction sense... I repeat this is non-canon, it's just my interpretation for a project I'm working on.

Well, I think the bigger question is where and when the animation will be published.

You know those are both excellent questions. They're part of the reason that I haven't really shared a lot of this project. For the where, most likely YouTube. As for the when, my goal is to be done before the end of the Summer. So hopefully sometime in either July or August. Definitely before Season 5 starts. I need to avoid canon-bombs, at least until it's done and published then I really don't care.

Yeah. The canon always has been a question as it seemed to be implied that Filthy Rich was a single father for some circumstance, but "One Bad Apple" implied that Diamond Tiara did have an active mother. However, she could have just been intimidated by a taller and older Babs Seed.

You nearly gave me a heart attack. ha ha I had to go and rewatch that episode because I haven't seen it in a while. I was sure that I had done thorough research to make sure that she never appeared or was barely mentioned, but when you mentioned that I got nervous Thankfully, nothing in the show counteracts anything I have in my animation.

I was merely noting that the general consensus seems to be is that Diamond Tiara is motherless but that Babs might have unveiled that she does have a mother. Nothing canon as of now. I suppose I should have been more clear.

Yes. The concept of who the mother in the family is has been of much controversy of fan theories, primarily as evidence is vastly restricted in the canon. If I were to have done a a top ten most mysterious ponies list like I did with Disney characters, Diamond Tiara's mother would probably take the honorary ten place because it is unknown whether she exists, let alone who she is.
I've seen theories concerning Nurse Sweetheart and Screw Loose. I've seen fan concepts such as "Gold Digger". However, whereas we have evidence to suggest that Diamond Tiara was a late bloomer in cutie marks, that her actions in "Ponyville Confidential" were to try to impress her father, and that she did nothing to betray Babs Seed in "One Bad Apple", despite Applebloom being willing to throw her own cousin off a cliff, as well as having a loyal waitstaff, considering Randolph, we have no evidence to suggest whether or not her mother exists. It's heavily implied that Silver Spoon has a whole family, if never seen, but Diamond Tiara has only ever had evidence of a father. Trust me. I spend more time finding evidences upon animated characters than is probably healthy, like Applejack nearly eating a ham sandwich during the brunch in "A Bird in the Hoof".
So, I believe you're safe in whatever you do for your animation.

Yeah, I haven't read any fan material on DT or Filthy Rich, so my script is only based on the canon of the show and my own ideas.

And that's fine. Like I said, I have found no evidence to support nor defend any proposed theory, so it will essentially be the addition of your ideas.
Just would have though I would have noticed something in the comics or chapter books, which have been quoted as canon by the show's producers.
