My first major effort at skin tones using Copics, overall i'm happy with the out come although I may have shaded to heavily on Gai and Lee... or maybe not enough... DERP! My original shading was to dark but I used a white pencil to blend alot of the skin tones together which really took the edge off.

Thanks to for the tips with skin tones, check out her stuff if you wanna see real master class Copic art, and to who's got some real dynamic guy poses. Drawing abs has always been a challenge for me, how much definition is enough and so on, so DenisM79's art was great reference material.

Also, thanks to my cousin who helped pick out the poses for the pic, he's a sort of Kung Fu wizard or something. Gai (the fella in blue) is in a Wushu stance called Pu Bu, Lee (the guy in green) is in a Eagle Kung Fu stance, his right hand is mean't to be further back but I couldn't fit it into the pic, Tenten (the girl) is in mid Butterfly kick which, by the way, is bloody bananas in real life, and Neji is doing Tiger style Kung Fu with the clawed hand and what not.

Finally, as a bit of back ground decoration, I added the four Feng Shui animals which have featured in Gai's most powerful techniques. In fact, they tie in pretty well with the whole team, Tenten's Twin Rising Dragon scrolls, Neji's caged bird imagery, Lee had that tiger background on the chapter title page when he first fought Garra and Gai's turtles should be fairly obvious.

The Naruto universe belongs to Masashi Kishimoto and Shounen Jump
